Soursop fruit Juice:

Some details about soursop fruit :

Soursop scientific name is annona muricata. Soursop tree is a evergreen tree that is a native of Brazil & is also available in Venezuela, central America, Peru, Columbia, Mexico and Cuba.It is also called laxman phal in india.This tree is grown in the rainforest of amazon .


Ingredients :

1. Soursoup fruit - 1 (small)
2. Sugar - 2 table spoon.
3. Water - 2 cup .

Preparation :

Skin out the soursoup fruit and separate seeds from fruit. Take only the inside fresh fruit. Then add water and sugar. Finally all together grind it.

Juice is ready to drink.

Have this juice Morning and Evening before food.

Easy Recipes - Snacks

Rava Pakoda :

Ingredients :

Rava (Semolina): 2 cups
Cornflour : 2tbsp
Onion : 1 big
Curry leaves : 3 lines
Coriander leaves : 4lines
Green Chilli : 2
Red Chilli Powder : 1tbsp
Baking Soda(soda bi carb) : 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying pakodas

Preparation Method:

1. Cut onions lengthwise.
2. Chop green chillies into thin rounds
3. Chop coriander finely.
4. Chop curry leaves coasely

Then ,

1.Mix all ingrediants except baking soda and keep it aside for 20mins.
2.Heat oil in a thick bottomed pan on medium flame till it is sufficiantly hot to deep fry.
3. When the oil is getting hot, add soda to pakoda mix and mix well. Add water and make pakoda batter. (Batter consistency= loose or should resemble dosa batter)
4. Use wet hands to pour this batter into hot oil. spread the batter while pouring batter into the oil to get irregular shaped pakodas.Irregular shapes expose onions to the surface (gives good aroma and crispy onions) and also pakodas becomes thin and crisp. Fry them till brown or your desired color.It takes 3-4 mins for each batch to get fried. These pakodas are best eaten while they are hot. You can serve with chutney or sauce.

Easy Recipes -Breakfast

Bisibelebath :

Ingredients:

1. 350g : Rice
2. 150g:  Toor dal + Masoor dal (mix in equal proportions)
3. 200g: Mixed Vegetables (Carrot, French Bean, Broad Beans, Potato, Tomato, Onion)
4. 20g: Dried Green Peas soaked for at least 12hrs
5. 10ml: Oil
6.  A big pinch: Turmeric

Masala To Fry (or Roast) and  Grind
2” piece: Cinnamon
4 pieces: Cloves
8 numbers: Red Chillies  (add more if you like it hot)
A small piece: Japatri
1 number: Star Anise
1 number: Bay leaf
2 Tbsp: Coriander Seeds
1tsp: Cumin Seeds
1 + 1 Tbsp: Chana dal + Urid Dal
5 numbers : Fenugreek Seeds
4Tbsp: Grated Fresh Coconut
3/4tbsp: Grated Dry Coconut

For Seasoning:
1 Tbsp: Ghee
1 tbsp: Broken cashew nuts
10 leaves: Curry leaves
1 big Pinch: Hing
1 number: Red Chili Broken into pieces

Tamarind extract and Salt to taste

Preparation Method:

   Cook Rice + 1 Tsp Salt + Soaked Greed peas in a pressure Cooker
   Cut all vegetables. Soak dal for 20 mins.
   Heat oil in a pan and all vegetables except Onion and Tomato, toss well.
   Switch off the stove.
   Combine vegetables, Soaked Dal, Turmeric, Onion and Tomato and pressure cook for 4 whistles.
   Fry spices listed under Fry & Grind in a tsp of oil. Do not fry coconut.
   Grind all the ingredients with coconut and water to make a smooth paste.
   Mix rice and dal. Pour in ground masala paste, tamarind extract, salt.
   Add little more water if  needed. Bring this boil.
   Heat ghee in a pan. Add cashew nuts, mustard seeds, hing, curry leaves and red chili.
   When mustard stops spluttering, pour the seasoning over prepared    bisibelebhath.
   Taste bisibelebath. Adjust salt and sour levels.

Serving Suggestions:
1.Bisibelebath is typically served with khara boondi or Potato Chips
2.Raita (yogurt with onion, tomato, cucumber) goes very well with this.

Easy Recipes - Breakfast

Garlic Rice : 

Ingredients :

1. Cooked Rice : 1 big cup
2. Oil : 2-3 tbsp (You can use ghee)
3. Garlic : 5 pods, chopped
4. Pepper Powder : 1tsp
5. Dry Coconut, grated : 1tsp (optional)
6. Red Chillies : 4 (cut into small pieces)
7. Curry Leaves : 1 Line
8. Bengal Gram, Green gram (split )each : 1tsp
9.  Mustard, Jeera each : 1tsp
10. Salt : as required

Preparation Method :

Heat oil in a thick bottomed pan.
When oil is sufficiently hot add mustard seeds, let it crackle.
Add Bengal Gram, Green gram (split) fry for 30 sec, add garlic fry till they are golden brown
Now add Jeera, red chillies , curry leaves, and remove the pan from stove.
Add pepper powder, salt and mix well.
Mix this Masala with cooked rice and mix. Add dry coconut and finish final round of mixing and serve. It can be eaten without any accompaniment.
Curd and Pickle all these goes well with this rice.

Beauty Tips - Face Pack

Face pack for fair skin : 

Ingredients :

1. Tea water
2. Rice flour
3. Honey

Method :

Mix half table spoon of honey with one cup of tea water and two table spoons of rice flour.
Mix all of the ingredients well and dab on your face by giving massage strokes.

Leave it for 15 to 20 minutes and then remove it out by scrubbing the mask in circular motions.
Scrubbing is necessary to remove the dead skin cells, which will help to get the fair tone.
Rice flour in the face pack acts as a scrub and removes the dead skin where as honey is known famous for its skin moisturizing properties.

Easy Recipes - Breakfast

Soft Idli Recipe :

Ingredients:

1. 1 cup urad dal (black gram dal)
2. 2 to  2 .5 cup idli rice (or idli rava)
3. 1 tsp menthya/fenugreek seeds
4. 3 teaspoon salt
5. 1/2 cup avalakki / Poha
6. 2 tablespoon curd (optional, to make it diary free(vegan) I skipped it)
7. Around 5 to 6 cups water

Also we need :
Grinder or mixer
Idli plates
oil  or ghee to grease the idli plates

Preparation Method:

For making Idli Batter:
Wash and soak urad dal in 3 cups of water for 3 to 4 hours.
Wash and soak rice and avalakki in a different vessel for 3 to 4 hours.
Grind the urad dal along with the soaked water into a fine paste.
If you are using idli rava, add it to the urad dal paste and mix well in a big container.
Then add the soaked avalakki and rice (if not using idli rava) after draining the water. Grind it to a coarse consistency.
If you are using curd, add it now. Batter should not be too watery.
Now transfer the batter to a big vessel and add salt. Mix well (using hands yields better results).
Cover it with the lid and let it ferment overnight or more. To do so, warm the oven for a minute (don’t forget to turn off) and keep this in the oven.

How to make idli:
Grease the idli plates with oil or ghee. Beat the fermented batter with the ladle and pour it on the greased idli plates.
Place the prepared idli stand in the cooker and steam cook this for 12 to 14 minutes.
Turn off the heat and wait for 2 to 3 minutes, and then take the idlis out.

Enjoy the hot  idlis with sambar or chutney!

Easy Recipes -Snacks

Banana Chips :

Ingredients:

1. 2 Nendra Banana /Long plantains
2. Around 1 cup Organic Virgin coconut oil
3. Around 1/2 tsp salt
4. 3 TBSP water
5. Little turmeric powder

Preparation Method:

Mix salt, water, and turmeric powder and keep it ready. Peel the skin of the plantain.

Use coconut oil for frying to get the authentic taste of chips.
Heat the coconut oil on a medium heat.
Either you slice the plantain directly onto the hot oil or slice it and get it ready.
Once the oil is hot add the sliced plantain.
Once the slices almost 3/4 cooked add 1/2 tsp of prepared salt water on the chips. Let it fry for more time. ( until the bubbles subsides )
Once the chips becomes crispy remove it from the oil and transfer it onto a paper towel. (Don’t wait until the chips turns golden brown, it has be yellow only)
Now crispy, flavorful Banana chips ready. Continue the same procedure.
Let it cool completely before you store it.

Have this chips with tea/coffee in the evening.

Easy Recipes - Sambar(Curry) Powder

Sambar(Curry) Powder :

Ingredients:

1.2 Cups Coriander Seeds
2.3 Cups Dry Red Chilies (1 Cup Byadagi + 2 Cup Guntur)
3.1 Cup Bengal Gram/Channa Dal
4.1 Cup Urad Dal/Black Gram split
5.1″ long 3 pieces of Dalchini/Cinnamon
6. 1 tbsp Menthya / Methi / Fenugreek Seeds
7.10 – 12 Peppercorns
8.1½ Cup Grated Dry Coconut
9. 3 tbsp Oil

Preparation Method:

Fry the ingredients in Oil separately. Grind these to a powder and store in a dry airtight container.

Use this powder when you prepare any vegetable Curry.

Recipes -Lunch

Onion Curd Curry :


Ingredients :

1. Onion - 2 Chopped
2. Curd - 1 cup.
3. Coconut - 1 cup (Grated )
4. Green chilli - 2 or 3
5. Mustard seeds - 1 table spoon.
6. Salt - one table spoon.
7. Ghee - one table spoon.

Preparation :

First roast the chopped onions with ghee and add pinch of salt while roast.

Then keep the roasted onions aside.

Preparation of masala - Grind the coconut , mustard seeds and green chilli together .make thin paste.

Finally put the masala to a bowl .Add the curd ,salt and roasted onions in to the bowl. Mix it well.

The onion curd  curry is ready to serve.

Have the curry with white rice.

This is best recipe for summer session.

Aloe Vera Face pack:

Ingredients to make paste: 

1. Aloe Vera Juice -Half cup ( Squeezed from aloe vera leaves)
2. Gram Flour - Half cup.
3. Turmeric Powder - Half table spoon.
4. Olive Oil - One table spoon.


Preparation:

Take a bowl. Add all above ingredients to bowl and then mix it well. After mixing , you will get thick paste.

Apply paste to face and massage slightly. 

Wash the face after 30 minutes with warm water.


Benefits :
 1. Skin glow.
 2. Unwanted rashes and pimples will get clear.
 3. Smooth skin.

Wheat Flour Dosa :

Ingredients : 

1. Wheat flour - 2 cup
2. Rice Flour - 2 Table spoon.
3. Butter Milk - 1 cup
4. Ginger - Chopped 1 Table spoon.
5. Onion - Chopped half Cup.
6. Curry leaves - Chopped .
7. Green chilli - Chopped one table spoon.
8. Salt - For test.
9. Water - as required.

It Serves for 2 persons .

Preparation:

Take bowl and put all ingredients in to the bowl. Then add water and mix it well. Make the normal dosa batter (Little thin).

Heat pan and put the batter on pan for making dosa(Try to apply thin).

Then add oil on top of dosa and make it roast well.

Roasted wheat flour dosa ready to serve.

It goes well with coconut chutney and with butter.

How to make :

Ingredients :

1. Lemon - 1
2. Salt - Pinch
3. Sugar - 4 Table Spoon.
4. Water - Two big cup.


Making:

Add the slat ,sugar and lemon juice by squeezing in to water .

Mix it well .

Have the lemon juice with two ice cubes per cup.


Benefits :

1. Increase the body immunity and gives immediate body strength.
2. Keeps BP normal.
